Silas at the beach when we got back to Oregon. The kid has a serious thing for sand. Serious. I mean a lot of kids play in sand boxes, but this is more than play...it is therapy, relaxation, imagination, pretend, escape, building, solitude, creating, managing...and far more than that, into realms that I don't totally understand. But, that is why this is so incredible...
I know there will be problems, quarrels, tiffs, and baths every night for the rest of the summer. But, for Silas it is completely worth it. Our backyard is now OUR backyard. 
Thank you Jordan, for planning, shopping, building, looking, scooping, dumping, and smoothing out this project. I am so thankful, and so is he.
