Big Brother

Check out the TOTALLY cute and cozy jammies I found for our big boy at Costco for $7.50!

He loves his baby sister so much. Today she was laying on the floor and he said "baby Jewel, here is a song for you." and then he sang, to no particular tune, all about her and what she was doing. "Jewel, you are laying down next to me, you are not sleeping Jewel. We are happy, Jewel." and on and on, most of which was hard to make out in song form.

This look of an adoring big brother is priceless to me. Not only does it say, "I love you, Sister. You are amazing. I am connected to you, " but it also says, "I am done wetting my bed because of you, I have accepted and embraced you." Well, at least that is what I see.

Silas prayed out loud by himself for the first time at lunch today. I pray with him a lot, he asks me to pray for certain things, and he will occassionally repeat a prayer after me. But today he prayed totally on his own. He said...
Dear God,
Thank you for my body. Thank you for my tummy and my fingers and my whole body. And thank you for our food.
